This three-bedroom, one-bathroom offering at 129 Fort Greene Place is looking pretty good. In addition to its central location, it’s got a lot of space (1,500 square feet over two floors) and even some historic charm, which is hard to find in a rental. What about its asking price of $4,000 a month? We would have thought this would be closer to $3,500.

  1. so according to the landlord and/or broker, living next to Target is now “Ft Greene”? Google maps may have your 6 on this but if you actually walk around there it feels more like Downtown BKLN

  2. Hey again the real issue is the no outside space – poo-mist and all – I need outside space at that price.

Roomates?!?!? How common – and no I have no fantasy scenarios about people living 18 to a room. (is that for people?) This is just a girl who grew up with bothers and cats and has cats now and dogs and husband – you want $4000 from me you give me a second bathroom and outdoor space or girl is very cranky and boy and cats die of UTI.

  3. Don’t mock, DH. All the special people of Fort Greene like their spread very dry. No bathroom, no poo mist, just more storage for that baggage.

  4. “but if these were two floor-through apts they’d be $2000 each, right? ”

and they’d each have their own bathroom!!

    *****
    There are also two kitchens!

  5. “Ok…I live in Ft. Greene and I believe the most likely scenario would be 2 roomates ”

and i wonder how many times over the course of their lease they’ll say to each other “damn, i really wish that bedroom we don’t use was a bathroom”
