Almost three years to the day since it was first announced that Dermot was planning to build residential skyscraper in the BAM Cultural District, ground was broken yesterday at 29 Flatbush Avenue. The ground-breaking shouldn’t come as a great surprise given our report earlier this week that permits for a 44-story, 333-unit building had been issued. You can see the renderings here. 1. Excellent development for the BAM District. This building will provide a much needed upgrade to the District and to Flatbush. It should also help with the improvement of the Fulton Mall.
