Stoopless it may be, but the 43rd st house still seems like a nice setup. Fair amount of detail, but not so precious you feel like you can’t touch anything.
I mean, it’s nice for wherever 43rd st is.
Strange decisions. The staging at the 3rd street house is cheesy and kooky – all the beds in the middle of the rooms? That is really disconcerting imagine sleeping that way. It also makes it seem there’s no where to put a bed, if the beds have to be put in the middle of the rooms. Why brag about the kitchen when you’re not going to show us the kitchen? Must not be much to look at. Bad listing.
The South Midwood house with its total lack of historic detail looks like it had been used as a medical office and they converted it back to a house again maybe? The icky-oaky new stair railing and mantle are loathesome. And why do all that work then put in baseboard heating which nobody wants? The sellers seems to be somebody who doesn’t know the tastes and preferences of today’s buyers in Brooklyn.
Let me guess on 3rd Street – the parking spot is from Novo.
Condo + valet
as NYGuy7 said, the 3rd street one has been beaten to death on the old thread. Well known broker and husband moved to the boonies in Canada, and based on price/sf look to be hoping to hit a dream price. The parking spot ain’t worth a mil, even with bonus season coming up. Clearly not a must sell property.
That’s exactly why I think that 43rd street house is a bust, ET. Being stoopless really detracts from the property, especially sitting next to homes with intact stoops. I also hate when people do bad paint jobs over things that need work. It just makes it look worse.
Shame they got rid of the stoop and stairs on the 43rd street house.
I guess I have been underestimating how desirable Sunset Park is these days.
wow- they took all the charm out of the Midwood place. The fireplace is plain ugly.
Looks like they’ve also done some big changes to the Midwood house. They moved the chimney to the side instead of in the middle. I think I kind of liked it before when it had that Amityville thing going on.
