The owners of this new brownstone listing at 46 Willow Street are asking $4,000,000 and we bet they get it based on the vital statistics alone: Five stories, extension, 25 feet wide, prime location. Throw into that the fact that the house (or at least the portion shown in the photos) has tons of original detail and is great shape and you’ve got a pretty compelling combo. The only hair on the deal is that the house is currently configured as an owner’s duplex with three rentals; in addition, the listing encourages interested buyers to bring their architects, which usually means there’s some money that needs to be spent. Think they’ll get their price?

hey, i used to rent here! unless they rented to an elderly tenant after we left, i doubt there is any renter there ‘for life.’ the other renters were youngish, like us, usually moving on to other neighborhoods further south or to the burbs. good for the owners, i say. they were terrific landlords.
