There’s been a lot of action on the Dumbo development stage lately, so here’s a rundown of all the players. Missing from this picture is the biggest planned Dumbo development of them all, Two Trees’ Dock Street project, but there hasn’t been word on that one for awhile (last time there was, in January of last year, David Walentas said he hoped to get started on it “in the next couple years”). Most of the developments now in progress have either been planned or stalled for awhile. The only ground-up build in the neighborhood is Toll’s 205 Water Street, a 65-unit project that’s hit the ground running after getting a new building permit from the DOB in February. On the same block, the long-in-the-making conversion of 220 Water Street is also under construction, and it’s going to have about 150 units when complete. Rounding out the Water Street trio is 192 Water, a 10-unit conversion with a performance space that’s reportedly coming back from the dead in terms of completion/marketing in the coming months and has recently re-upped on some DOB permits. Finally, 37 Bridge Street, which will have 45 units, continues to be under construction. Assuming work continues on the four projects, we’re looking at more than 250 new units of housing coming to Dumbo in the not-so-distant future.

  1. 205 Water and 220 Water are on the blocks between Jay and Bridge, not further east as you show them. The Water Street side of 205 is more or less across the street from 192, and 220 is the big parcel partially underneath the photo of 205.
