Another day, another Williamsburg condo launch. The latest is 608 Lorimer, now boasting eight one- and one-and-a-half bedroom units. Prices range from $355,000 to $529,000. Since the location isn’t exactly prime Billyburg, how do you think those prices will go over? GMAP

  1. Ya also look how the photos are stretched horizontally to give the illusion of more space. Either that or I kinda dig the oval clock

  2. I would like to have an opinion on these apts, but those floor plans are unreadable! first, and, I, being visual-memory limited, cannot memorize a floor plan and then put the rooms in place in my head…… I need to see the plan at the SAME time as the photos or it’s just virtually useless to me but as I already said, these plans are not readable. I guess if I was really motivated, I would enlarge them and then print them out, but the whole thing already makes me think these places must be small or they wouldn’t being doing it this way…..duh. (Yes, I see the sq. footages — makes me think either they are really pushing those already not large numbers, or that it feels even smaller.)

Beyond that, I don’t know, looks better inside than outside, that’s for sure. But could feel cheap in life, don’t know. Plus, I am struck that they took the photos with that portable counter thing outside the “kitchen.” Immediately makes one think the kitchen doesn’t have enough space.

  3. Clever placement of the plant in the phototo hide the a/c unit adjacent to the window and practically in the middle of the wall. Would it have been so hard to put it somewhere less unattractive?

  4. I feel Brownstoner should not feature these buildings as they are a terrible addition to Brooklyn. Who would ever live in that dump? AC units jutting out of the walls? Pa-lease…. Keep showing penthouses and multi-million dollar condos all of your readers can afford.
