The fine folks at BAM sent the photo above (click to enlarge) yesterday of progress on the Richard B. Fisher Building, the project that involves a six-story addition behind the existing two-story building at 321 Ashland. Here’s the report on how it’s coming along from the academy: “The steel structure has been erected and all concrete floors are poured. The fireproofing is nearly complete, stairs are being installed, and MEP (mechanical, engineering, plumbing) rough-in is beginning. The contractor is beginning the building enclosure, interior wall layout, and basic services such as HVAC ductwork and electrical systems. We are looking at completion in the spring of 2012 and we are excited about the progress to date.” When it’s finished, the building will have a 250-seat performance space, a 100-seat rehearsal space, and offices. Click through for another action shot and a rendering of the exterior.
