  1. Sorry – that was obnoxiously-worded of me. Didn’t mean it to sound so “sanctimommy”. And on mother’s day no less. But I hate to see misinformation. People with young children really should think twice about living next to the BQE. As Rob said they’re already breathing in the fumes of NYC. Why on earth would you add so much more to it. And of course it’s absolutely not true every neighborhood has the same exposure to toxins. That’s the silly thing to say.

  2. Sebb, I’m sorry for your and your family’s health’s sake you aren’t aware of this, but close proximity to the trees and vast green space of Prospect Park makes for way more healthy air to breathe than close proximity to the Gowanus Canal and its industry and the BQE.

what hyperbole.. just living in nyc for the most part, youre going to be exposed to those things. it’s not like people are gonna be sitting at the edge of the BQE inhaling it all bong-like.

  4. I can’t comment on the price, but the Grand Ave reno looks very nice. I don’t know what’s wrong with the floors donatella. They look like new oak. The ad says it is nearing completion so they may not have poly-ed the floors yet. Hopefully they won’t make them glossy!

  5. hahaha, henry street.

Pounding truck traffic on the BQE in your backyard 24/7/365: $1.65 million

Lifetime doctors visits from your and your kids forthcoming asthma condition: $55K

Replacing air filters 2x per day for 30 years: $22k

Sunbathing au naturale in your backyard: priceless

  6. traditionalmod: thats pretty silly to say. Every neighborhood has the same issues. Cobble hill, Brooklyn heights all surrounded by the BQE and other environmental factors. People who don’t like this usually live in the Country/woods.
