From a press release by the MetroTech BID: “The MetroTech BID is pleased to announce final completion of the installation of the Downtown Brooklyn Pedestrian Wayfinding System. Forty-five kiosk map directories and thirty-three directional signs have been installed at various high pedestrian traffic locations in the greater Downtown area.” The signs feature maps, descriptions and photos of Downtown neighborhoods. The Downtown Brooklyn Pedestrian Wayfinding System has been in the works since November 2010.
