Last month the DOB approved plans for three separate three-story townhouses on Henry Street next to the former Lamm Institute in Cobble Hill. The Henry Street lots were marketed along with the Lamm Institute building, but there was never any word they’d sold. To our surprise, a sign for “357-361 Henry Street Development LLC” appeared on the construction fence outside them, and construction has already begun; there are DOB permits for new three-story buildings at #361, #357 and #359. Our question is: what will they look like? A plan for three townhouses on the same lots was disapproved by the LPC in 2008. Meanwhile, the Lamm Institute itself is being converted into a three-family, and the a one-family house is being built on the adjacent 120 Amity. GMAP
