New York Magazine ran a profile of Ilene Rosen, City Bakery’s “savory chef,” and her upcoming restaurant and mini-market for 606 Vanderbilt Avenue, between St. Marks and Prospect. Named 606 R&D, the spot will feature such Brooklyn delicacies like Greenpoint babka and Royal Crown chocolate bread. There will also be a full bar (kombucha on tap!) and a menu full of comfort foods. No set opening date yet, but we’re crossing our fingers that it’s soon.
