It’s not quite as expensive as Wednesday’s Condo of the Day or the Clocktower residence, both at One Main Street in Dumbo, but this recent penthouse listing at 189 Bridge Street in Downtown Brooklyn is no slouch in the pricing department either. Coming is at $7,500,000, the 6,000-square-foot pad has lots of space and killer views in its favor. Design-wise, however, the apartment looks like it belongs on the waterfront in Brighton Beach. The listing’s only hope? That Mikhail Prokhorov decides he needs a pied a terre close to his beloved Nets basketball arena.

  1. I do not remember seeing buildings this ugly in Miami. This looks like a highrise house of detention. The newer highrises in Miami are actually pretty interesting architecturally. All of Miami Beach is super interesting architecturally.
The interior of this Brooklyn apartment is just vulgar glitzy, without the panache of Las Vegas or LA or Miami for that matter.

  2. Cheap windows, cheap white brick, strictly value-engineered design.
it does look like crap. Some public housing towers in Upper Manhattan look much nicer by comparison.

  3. Um, marble floors, “gold” window trim, ridiculous semi-circular windows…do admit that kitchen is much better than expected given those other choices…
