We’re loving this semi-detached brownstone up for rent in Crown Heights. The dark wood, stained glass, fireplaces: this place has it all. On top of five bedrooms, there’s also a living room, library, TV room and dining room. And while the kitchen hasn’t been recently updated, it’s still big. So how much for all this? $6,000/month. It’s FRBO, so you won’t have to pay a broker fee. Think the price is right?

  1. There are a lot of things available in the city for $6,000 a month. Seems to me this might be ideal for someone who deals in, er, all cash transactions. I just can’t imagine your average family deciding oh, lets rent in Crown Heights for 6000 a month. It just strains credulity but then some of the tattoos I see on young women strain credulity. Tattoos are inexpensive though.

  3. I didn’t make an appointment to go in. Minus: the facade is much more beat up than the pictures let on. Plus: the cobblestone driveway of the $6000 rental ensures half of your house has windows and a kinda-scenic view.
