The owner of Long Island Restaurant says she has a new tenant lined up for the Atlantic Avenue fixture, according to the Brooklyn Paper. Owner Linda Alperin says renovations will begin soon on the space but that the new tenant, whom she wouldn’t identify, will keep the exterior sign and some of the interior details, including the bar. The diner closed in 2007.

  1. I love this sign so much! I hope the new tenant appreciates how unique it is. I have been worrying about this place ever since 2007–I think about it whenever Girl Scout Cookie season comes along.
