The 25-foot-wide house at 74 Hicks Street in Brooklyn Heights changed hands for $6 million, making it one of the biggest residential real estate sales in the borough this year. The property was a House of the Day back in March, when it was listed for $6.5 million. We had this to say about it: “It’s clearly undergone a high-quality (and tasteful) renovation that preserved the old floorboards while spiffing up the kitchen and bathrooms…As for the asking price, here’s where we stand: We’ve got absolutely no idea whether they’ll get it. Seems like a lot, but this is a fall-in-love-and-move-right-in situation so you never know.” Pics of the interior here.

  1. the biggest downside to this house is that it is next to an historic apartment building with the worst repointing job in America.
    Hello Landmarks Commission?
    That’s not repointing, that’s defacing.
