The Putnam Candy Store, the longtime Clinton Hill business that was rumored to be selling goods other than candy, is finally closed, according to a local merchant. The landlord didn’t renew the store’s lease and instead gave the space to the Fulton Grand Bar next door, confirming news we heard at the beginning of this year. (When we stopped by, interior renovations were well underway.) This marks the latest recent change for this corner of Brooklyn. Luv Tea, a cafe that opened in September, is down the block on Putnam, and the new Putnam Triangle Plaza is right outside.
