There hasn’t been any news about the battle between Bob Diamond and the city over the popular tours Diamond ran of the Atlantic Avenue train tunnel since last winter, but now the Post is reporting that Diamond has filed a $100 million (!) lawsuit against the city. The article is short on details except to note that Diamond hopes the lawsuit will result in him being able to lead his tours again and that he characterizes his fight with the powers that be as “a David-and-Goliath story.” A year ago the Department of Transportation stopped allowing access to the tunnel because of safety concerns raised by the Fire Department. As of last February Diamond had filed a notice of claim and was reportedly going to be suing the city for $2.5 million in damages. Diamond had been running the tours for three decades.
