The well-loved Michael Allen Desserts at 1015 Fulton Street, at Grand, has closed up shop and moved to another Clinton Hill location. Michael Allen now sells its baked goods out of the Fresh Fanatic store at 88 Washington Avenue, at Park. The new location is only a few doors away from Michael Allen custom cakes and wholesale purchases at 80 Washington Avenue. We weren’t spilling any tears for the departure of the Putnam Candy Store, right around the corner, but this spot will be missed.
you guys called this same area “the navy yard” when you were writing about the large scale project on vanderbilt/park. it’s kind of a weird area.. does it even have a name?
