Last week there was news that an eco-friendly building would be constructed on 5th Avenue in Park Slope, and today we heard from a rep from the company’s designer, Voltaic Solaire, that in fact the building will not have a rooftop wind turbine but instead rely only on solar energy. We also got these snazzy renderings and the exact address in question, 367 5th Avenue, which is between 5th and 6th streets. Another rendering on the jump, as is a photo of the building in its current state.

  1. I was admiring this row of buildings just this weekend, wondering why such a great facade was boarded-up, and this prime location wasted. I’m glad someone is doing something with it, but I hope they’re preserving the front, since it looks like all of the changes will be in the back.
