Just days after appearing in The Wall Street Journal and on Gothamist, 167 6th Avenue, the house featured in the film The Squid and The Whale, is already in contract. It took less than a month for the 138-year-old brownstone to get snapped up. The four-story house had been asking $3,450,000 and given the short time it was on the market it’s safe to assume it went for pretty darn close to that. Surprised? Not us. This seems to be the new normal.
