Will 20 Henry’s troubles ever end? The 39-unit condo project at the northern end of Brooklyn Heights finally got a restart in 2010 when Canyon Johnson took over the busted project from Urban Realty Partners. Since then, things had appeared to be going well, with sales reaching the two-thirds mark just last month. But now a fight between the developer and the contractor threatens to muddy the waters. According to The Real Deal, Canyon Johnson, a firm partially owned by Magic Johnson, is suing the contractor, Hudson Meridian, over $700,000 in overage charges it says it is due. Canyon Johnson wants to fire the contractor, which it blames for putting the project five months behind schedule. And what about the people who’ve put down deposits on apartments? Not to worry. “We have the funds available and in our control to complete the project,” a Canyon Johnson rep told The Real Deal. Good times!
