Two Bookstores for Bushwick

Suddenly Bushwick is getting not one but two used bookstores. (Previously it had none, unless thrift stores count.) Molasses Books has opened at 700 Hart Street between Wilson and Knickerbocker avenues. Started by former street bookseller Matthew Winn, the shop serves coffee and tea and is applying for a liquor license. Meanwhile, over in the loft area at 1067 Flushing Avenue between Knickerbocker and Morgan avenues, Human Relations will hold its opening party Saturday, Aug. 11 from noon to 9 pm. Some of the owners hail from Book Thug Nation, the used book shop in Williamsburg.
