Action at the Future Rental Building on Bergen and 3rd

There’s some DOB action at the corner of Bergen Street and 3rd Avenue, one day to be home to an 85-unit luxury rental building. A permit just came through to demolish the warehouse-looking building on the site. And although the Department of Buildings has not yet approved new building permits, they did approve the transfer of air rights for the development last month. The rental will include a health club, a resident lounge, a courtyard and roof deck. The lot (only .7 miles from the planned Whole Foods) was asking $7 million; it sold this summer to the Naftali Group for $6,724,000.
