The folks who run Choice Market and Dough Tuesday opened a restaurant called Manny’s at 212 Patchen Avenue near Macon in Bed Stuy in the old Crave space. They completely redid the interior, putting in a fireplace, wood paneling and rustic subway tile with dark grout. For now, they are serving a huge choice of pastries, sandwiches and salads — including Dough donuts — and in a couple of weeks will offer brunch, lunch and dinner, as well as rotisserie chicken and delivery. One of the owners said she hopes to feature live jazz in the backyard patio. Things seem to be jumping in this previously sleepy part of Bed Stuy east of Stuy Heights, which now has the Liquid Oz cafe and the new Simplicity wine bar coming in a block away, as well as Delhi Heights, Bed Stuy Fish Fry, and the planned Brookyn Bar & Brew Co. nearby. Click through for interior pictures after the jump.

  1. I ate there twice – both times were terrific. The food ( frittata, pastries etc ) was great and the two behind the counter were as well. I have a good feeling about this place. I also agree that Crave was awesome, so I’m sad to see them go. The owner of Crave is a very nice guy, but was working way too hard – I hope it all worked out well for him.
