Well, that didn’t take long. The Cobble Hill house with the gorgeous plasterwork that was HOTD Wednesday is in contract already. More than 100 people showed up for the open house Sunday. The ask was $3,500,000.

    Actually you’re referring to gentrification but not economics. If you assume that fewer of the current residents will be able to stay as prices rise, then the fact that prices are rising (which clearly indicates there is more demand than supply) means in fact that more people exist who can afford to pay – it’s just that their outsiders.

  2. Beautiful details but the layout is muddled, the kitchen is small and there’s no central a/c. Those can be fixed with more money on top of the hefty purchase price. The yard is small and it’s not even that wide of a house…and yet all-in someone will be spending close to $4million. Amazing
