Scaffolding Coming Down at 53 Broadway

Behold the almost-final product at 53 Broadway, the 72-unit South Williamsburg development. The picture makes the seven-story building look small, but it actually stretches quite a ways down Broadway. (It’s a 70,000-square-foot building.) What we can see now of the facade looks pretty different than the rendering that surfaced back in 2008; it’s looking much closer to this rendering found on the developer’s website. According to the site, this’ll be a 72-unit condo building with ground level retail, 66 parking spaces, a pool, and a health club. The development started going up in the summer of 2012.
