A sharp-eyed reader noticed the Adams mansion in Park Slope is for sale. This is the house the Chiclets empire built; most architectural critics consider it “theĀ finest Romanesque Revival private home in the city,” according to our own Montrose Morris. The C.P.H. Gilbert manse is currently divided into 10 apartments, which doesn’t bode well for the interior, but the property will be delivered vacant, according to the listing. We hope whoever buys this will save whatever detail is left inside. At $5,990,000, do you think it’s well priced?
