Reps from Sterling Equities tell us the four-story development planned for the Regency Carts site in Gowanus will become condos. And the new building will have 35 apartments, instead of the 32 we reported when the developers filed plans in October. Scaffolding was erected last week, as GYFO noted, and it looks like work could begin soon. Sterling applied for demo applications in October, but they haven’t been approved because the DOB disapproved the original plan exam earlier this month. And the developer filed last month to change the address from 337 to 345 Carroll — possibly to distance the new project from the never-ending construction at the “Hell Building” next door at 333 Carroll Street?
