Who has snapped up the beautiful but long-decaying brick building for sale at 156 Broadway in South Williamsburg? Why, Brookland Capital, of course. A conversion has been under way since 2012, and Brookland Capital’s Boaz Gilad told us he hopes the condos will hit the market in late June.

Although the most recently approved building permits specify the original three stories with eight condos, Gilad told us the development will be four stories and eight units with ground floor retail. (This old TerraCRG ad marketing the property showed one version of what the property could look like.) The architect of record is Jon Libasci of Bel Air Design Group.

Brookland paid $2,650,000 for the three-story building in September 2012. Above, the building in 2012.
