The property at 472 Atlantic Avenue has been sold and will be developed into apartments, according to readers who spoke to workers at the Atlantis Super Wash Center there. The laundromat‘s last day was yesterday will close May 31. No sale has hit public records and no building permits have been filed yet.

The lot is a large one at 16,100 square feet with a FAR of 3. The lot includes a one-story building and parking.

We think a taller building with ground-level retail, such as a laundromat, would be an improvement in this location. What’s your opinion?

  2. They were reputed to be dealing crack out of this place. And half the machines were broken at any one time. That said, I can’t help but feel that the last thing Boerum Hill needs right now is ANOTHER luxury condo development. 3. I think it’s closing May 31, not yesterday (or at least that’s what the signs in the windows say). Anyone looking for a good business opportunity? The other two laundromats in easy walking distance are both tiny! There are about four vacant storefronts on Atlantic between 3rd and Bond…
