Warm and Cozy Sales Effort at 75 Smith

sales office
We got some nasty looks when we snapped this photo of the Sunshine Group's sexy sales headquarters for Leviev Boymelgreen's condo development at 75 Smith. (Did Nick Dine design this too?) You'd think they'd subscribe to the "Any publicity is good publicity" school of thought. All that worry for nothing: It's not like we're gonna harp on the building's proximity to the House of Detention.

As a long time resident of this block of State Street, I'll point out that this corner lcoation was previously the home of Soft Skull Press, and then before that a beauty/hair salon.

Yeah - those Smith guys are surly.

I went in once on the way home from work. Said I was curious about the development, lived in the neighborhood, etc. -- got treated like a pariah when I wasn't being ignored.

Actually - is it possible they're some undercover policemen on a stakeout or something? That's the vibe they give off.

(And just to continue the information chain: Soft Skull Press used to have their offices on Suffolk St in the LES, before moving to State in 2002. They published "Fortunate Son," the unauthorized biography of GWBush and some great poetry books, among others.)

From the website I see that the Sunshine Group is the exclusive marketing agent, not The Developers Group

Wow! Soft Skull Press! Now that is really a sign of the times. Anarchist small press replaced by trendy condo office with generic modernist logo!

This building's exterior is so bland.

Apologies to the Developers Group then. Coulda sworn their name was in the window.

"Luxe & Pop converge..."
Corcoran is also marketing "The Smith."

This is just the selling office the condos are going to be on Smith and Atlantic. Please check your facts before going off on your rants.

I know nothing about location of the press ...but the new building in question does seem to take entire block front of Smith from Atlantic to and INCLUDING corner of State Street.

Think it's pretty clear we said this was the selling office...
