We’re getting completely overwhelmed trying to keep up with all the new developments going up around McCarren Park. We need some publication like The Real Deal to put together one of those nifty maps that lays them all out for us. In the meantime, we were struck by what a figure this dynamic duo on Bayard Street cut on the neighborhood’s skyline. The top photo is the view from across the park while the bottom photo is the view from the BQE. GMAP

I wish someone…I’m not sure who, but someone needs to address the back-up on the “L” train. Anyone know who we might contact to vent our concerns?
I don’t mean to change the subject, but what’s wrong with you folks? I wish there were more free love in Brooklyn. . . more giving! There’s more to life than drugs and money! You folks should take it off, get it on, and shut up!
The L train situation is at critical mass. A nice neighborhhod to visit, shop, party in but for the moment I am glad I don’t live there.
I’m glad to see a comment posted about the L train. Condo buyer beware. If you can’t get on a train to get to work, how are you gonna pay that hefty mortgage? Unless you have a trustfund or work at home? A ferry won’t get you everywhere and if everyone takes car services to work the Wbg Bridge traffic will get as bad as the L train.
The icon and the aurora are Karl Fisher too.
Someone should warn the poor buyer who buys in williamsburg…nowadays the SUBWAY is so packed in the mornings that you have to wait for 2 to 3 trains before you can even get on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They need to re-evaluate what this little neighborhood can handle. Of course the developers don’t care. But it’ll be a smack in the face the first day these new owners try to get to work. Luckily I get on the “L” many stops before the Bedford stop…and smile as our train doesn’t even stop but breezes on by. kinda rude i know, but i can’t help but snicker.
The 17 story building is a Karl Fischer project. I would think that they would be getting > 850/sf for this project being that the Aurora is getting around $850.
They are all going for about 7oo-825 psf, depends on the views from each unit.
