We’ve been keeping an eye out as the development at 25 Gates Avenue has inched along. The corner-lot structure is starting to take form though it is too early to tell how it will stack up from a design stand-point. At least the ground-floor windows appear to be reasonably large. Who knows what this is going to be? Presumably there’ll be some retail or commercial on the ground floor. GMAP P*Shark

  1. Get off of your cans and call the owner. If he doesn’t listen, then picket in front of the building. Whining on a blog won’t get you anything.

  2. Not sure I want a food coop in Clinton HIll of the same ilk as PArk Slope Food coop. We just do the Clinton Hill CSA & that serves u sjust fine. We just completed a nice winter share.

  3. keep in mind that the nightmare at carlton & greene got some sort of variance – height? – by putting in retail for “public good” or some such nonesense on the ground floor. note that “dentist” equals public good, but not grocery.
on a separate note, for those foodies out there, i think there was some rumor about gourmet garage moving into the first floor of mark morris, but they decided not to go with that. it would have been perfect

  4. I’m tired of shopping at whole foods in Manhattan and bring my heavy bags on the subway, it will be about time that we have good grocery and supermarkets a few blocks away from where we live, should all of us get serious about it and create a CLINTON HILL COOP or something like it ??????? EX- Bodegas on Fulton could be a nice space for it.

  5. I agree with 4:57, so many people post on here about fresh produce stores or a great cafe around here…I know someone out there has a dollar and a dream. I promise, if you build it, I will…buy an espresso from you.
