Since a reader emailed us with a link to the State Renaissance Court website, we’ve been meaning to drag our ass over to State and Hoyt to take a picture of the project’s progrss, but, hey, we’ve been a little busy playing tennis and hitting the beach the last couple of weekends. We’re not entirely sure but we suspect this is the latest name for Phase 2 of the State Street Townhouse project that we discussed most recently here. Sound right? The multi-family portion of the project will include a little less than 40,000 square feet, 30% of which is earmarked for low and moderate income families. If someone could snap a photo of the progress for us we’d be grateful.

  1. As someone who lives practically at State and Hoyt, the construction of the buliding that will become “State Renaissance Corut” is at Hoyt and Schermerhord. The empty lot on the northeast corner of State and Hoyt (essentially behind the new building) is currently used as a staging ground for the construction. It seems that the next site in this project will be the empty lot on State next to the cathedral (closer to Bond).

And I think petebklyn is correct — this is different project from the development on the west side of Hoyt.

  2. Am a little unsure myself but I thought this project was east side of Hoyt St. and the 14Townhouses nearing completion is west of Hoyt.
Will there be another set of townhouses on other block of State also? And what/when buildings behind the ’14Townhouses’ east of Smith?
BTW – on Corcoran site only 1 show in contract of the 11 they have listed.
