House of the Day: Bergen Street Roll of the Dice

This place could be a total dump, but we're a sucker for a good turret so we're going to go with the flow and take the broker's word that this one-family house on Bergen and Rogers in Crown Heights (cross street, anyone?) actually is full or original details. Judging from the hatchet job on the exterior, we're guessing that this is one of those situations where the interior is sort of a dump but none of the owners have ever had enough money to do a bad renovation, so the old moldings, woodwork etc. are still hanging around. The 1920-ish four-story house allegedly has five fireplaces and seven Bedrooms. Taxes are low at $1,536 and the lot is an extra-deep 125 feet. All for $799,000.
