It’s still a little too early to tell about this new building on South 2nd between Driggs and Roebling but it’s got Scarano written all over it. The work has been going on for about a year and the contractor–Superior Construction, we think–has stepped over the line a few times. It received a violation in March for having an “adverse effect” on the next-door property and the public sidewalk and back in June of last year for undermining the property to the rear during excavation. We’re not sure if this place was slated to have any questionable mezzanines. Anyone know? GMAP BIS
Ooooh, it’s the evil bigger step-sister to 2 similar buildings going up in Greenwood Hts. The smaller of the two with a fancy pants marketing campaign.

Just as ugly (my opinion) and looming as the one pictured above. They are actually marketing it as “luxury mezzanine condos.” The one on the 20th St. truck route’s even more of a beauty. Have to love all that black brick. Some one say “out of scale?”
