condos
We learned a lot about Maspeth Avenue from yesterday’s comments. In addition to the large number of registered sex offenders on the block and the proximity to a men’s shelter, mention was made of some ugly new Fedders buildings on the blocks. Not surprisingly, these caught our eye as well. And while we won’t dispute the ‘ugly’ label, we will say that we sorta like the alternating brick colors in a purely abstract sense. Anyone know whether these are going to be rentals or condos?

  1. well i for one think it’s a great location and a reasonable price. I bought a place and I’m excited about moving in. For any of my future neighbors (no haters please) feel free to stop by my olive park blog and say hi.

Look forward to meeting you, virtually and otherwise.

  2. “I am very familliar with this project and its a well planned and exteremly strong building, the builders hired expensive designers and good quality contractors and didnt settle on cheap matirials, etc.”

It’s spelled “materials” and if you think for a second you’re fooling anyone, mr. Developer, you’re mistaken.

That pile of crap has had bits of styrofoam falling off where the illegals building the place have been shaving it to fill the cracks. “Expensive designers”? I’d sue to get my money back

Piss off back to Hungary, money grubber…

  4. Yes, it’s stopping the building from collapsing

An inspector actually did his job, and found the arrogant bastard who’s building this was yet another in the line of “developers” who feel they are above the law and can use dangerous construction methods that save a buck

How much longer is all this going to be tolerated?

google “mendel brach” and educate yourself…

  5. The building is a condo which I heard is going to be marketed by aptsandlofts.com. Supposedly this building has ever imaginable amenity according to an aptsandlofts.com agent I was with the other night showing me another one of their buildings around the corner. A portion of the building overlooks cooper park too . I think its cool

  6. With building booms, you get slower supply of materials. Materials go on back-order during those times. I don’t know if witnessing slow-downs in construction would make me automatically assume there is a huge problem.

This is a great looking building. So true, the person who said what a difference alternating color makes! Without it, it would be a big hulking blob. Maybe this building will inspire all the uninspired builders out there.

  7. I would be wary of this building, as it is taking a very.long.time to complete the building, and there are long, long, long periods of time that go by with zero progress. I had several rental properties on Olive St., which is right behind Maspeth, and the deal killer was always when people looked out the back window and saw the construction. But in this case, they are almost never there working.
