emergency
The wind in the early hours of Saturday morning was too much for the scaffolding atop this new development on Classon and Myrtle. (There was similar trouble in Soho.) A couple fire engines and several squad cars were on the scene when we got there around 10 am. By noon, the street was still closed off but the firetrucks had retreated and there were a few guys climbing around on the roof trying to straighten things out. We didn’t get a chance to look too closely at the new building but it certainly looks a lot slicker than most of the stuff getting thrown up in that area. Check out the close-up of the damage on the jump. GMAP
