A reader sent in the above photo of a lot on Quincy between Downing and Classon, across the street from the Salvation Army, wondering what the future holds. “I’m Very curious to know what this will be,” he writes. “I assume condos, but the $500/sf questions is whether it will be like the infamous Fulton monstrosity, or more in line with some of the nicer brownstone-condo conversions in the nabe and the nicer new developments in other parts of Brooklyn.” We’ve got no idea and we don’t even have the exact street address but maybe someone out there in the blogosphere can help. I think that the last poster is right. My nephew attends the HeadStart Program on that block. The school is right next to the construction site and the school address is 5 Quincy. So, I guess thats better than the over priced condos.
what’s the address of this project? the “inclusionary housing” units for the development at the SEC of Myrtle/Flatbush is 15-21 Quincy.
i think this is the location of the affordable housing component of the Flatbush Avenue extension tower that was discussed on this blog a few weeks ago.
No, it’s nowhere near the YMCA, which is off of Bedford.
ITS AN EXTENSION TO THE YMCA
