Meanwhile, the Karl Fischer-designed competitor across the street shows no signs of progress. A month or so later, this is now up to about 20 stories.

The two buildings with the most widely recognized historic significance are 233 and 227 Duffield Street. I can’t see how either of them would impact the new hotel planned for 237 Duffield.
The final form of the block is still up in the air, since the RFPs for Willoughby Square were only handed in less than two weeks ago.

doh, my bad, wrong site.
anyway, filing for new building permit as of 2/7 on the KF site, so things look to be progressing there okay.
call it a guess but maybe the stop work order issued on feb 8 is slowing things down at the KF project …
looks like only a portion of this is being built — the rendering showed two step-up features like the one above. is sheraton going ahead first and aloft following nextdoor later?
