Our dreams of finding out what a developer could possibly charge for people to buy a unit the 4th Avenue sliver on Carroll Street have been forever dashed. The eight units in the building will be rentals, according to the construction crew on the job. Building amenities include easy access to Cattyshack, the lesbian bar next door. Thoughts on what these’ll rent for? We’ll guess around $2,800 a month.

  1. there are no windows on the other side, because adventually the bar and car places will be gone and anothe high rise will butt against it. It sounds logical.

  2. Wow- 8 unit rental? I pass by this building everyday- and I was convincied it would be a hotel. 2 units on each floor- but who would build a 16 room hotel? As a rental- seems weird- but on the plus side- its probably handicapped accessible- with an elavator which is a plus. Not a lot of options for people with special needs in the neighborhood.

  3. Right next to the Lesbian Bar? Buy/Rent and sublet it out for short stay rates. Flip it a few times a night, make more than 2000 a month don’t you think.
