  1. Once again, folks, this thread (Open house picks 6 months later) will be a lot more telling come the spring, 6 months after the financial meltdown started. Given the average gap of 3 months between contract/close, most properties that close before mid-December will not reflect the new reality that hit us towards the end of September. And Corcoran is nuts to up the price on that property, unless they are just hoping that the higher price will offset the major discount sellers are starting to expect on asking prices – but this still a dumb strategy on the agent’s part.
