It’s been a couple of months since we checked in on the progress at John Catsimatidis’ 202 Myrtle Avenue, the first of four buildings the supermarket mogul is supposed to build in this border land between Fort Greene and Downtown Brooklyn. During that time, the project has progressed from a hole in the ground with foundations and shoring to the beginning of the steel structure.

  1. Another interview with Catsimatidis would be great right now. Ask him to justify idling the dirt piles along Myrtle while still burning cash ripping off and litigating Trader Joe’s trademark rights and turning around defunct oil companies in Oklahmoma.

  2. If it’s an 8 story mixed building, they’d posted the beams only for a street level business like it used to be. Unless, the crane and the steel haven’t arrived, only several men are working on site. It’s been like this for a month.
