The Fourth Annual Brooklyn Blogfest will take place on May 7th at powerHouse Arena in Dumbo. Brooklyn Blogfest is an event for bloggers, blog readers, and the blog curious. It’s your chance to meet your favorite bloggers, learn about blogging, and maybe even be inspired to blog. There will also be a video tribute to Brooklyn’s photo bloggers. The after-party (of course, there is an after-party) is across the street at Galapagos Art Space complete with a cash bar.
Brenda, I agree with your last point. I’m hoping to attend BlogFest this year.
Actually, the last BlogFest was a lot of fun, a laid-back celebratory party/networking-fest for people who love Brooklyn and love to write and take pictures (many of them doing one or both surprisingly well). The navel-gazer-in-pajamas stereotype is pretty stale; the folks who turned out displayed a really interesting mix of talents and passions. If one is already spending time on the comments section of Brownstoner, btw ,one is perhaps the pot calling the proverbial kettle black by snarking at BlogFest!
