Park Slope Civic Council Forum on Historic Re-Destricting

Join a discussion with architectural historian Francis Morrone, author of the Park Slope Neighborhood and Architectural History Guide, and representatives from the Historic Districts Council and the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission. The event is open to the public.

Sheepshead Bay Civic Association Meeting
SB/PBCA’s general meeting is at Lundy’s for a reason. The landmark building is the proposed site of Cherry Hill Gourmet Restaurant and Market. Cherry Hill has agreed to open its doors to all interested neighbors and community members who wish to attend the meeting and give them a “sneak preview” of the renovated and refurbished interior of the building.

BoConcept Art Show
BoConcept is having an opening reception for their new art exhibition. This is their first art show featuring local painters, photographers, and designers—Danny Lowit, Daniel Krieger, George K. George, Deborah Freedman, Yazmany Arboleda, and Mireya Acierto. The exhibition runs through April 1.

Adult Education Presents “Safety Lessons”
Adult Education’s newest lecture series focuses on safety lessons. The line-up will include “How to Honk Your Horn” from David Johns, “Zombie Hand-to-Hand Combat: Effective Non-Ballistic Undead Neutralization Methods” from Roger Ma, “Surviving adolescent management of amusement park rides” from Therese Mahler, and “A Brief Foray into the World of Medical Self-Experimentation” from Carlos Yu. The event is hosted by comedian Charles Star.
