Two months ago we learned that Clermont Greene, the 73-unit through-block development at 174 Vanderbilt Avenue in Fort Greene, had gotten its C of O; then last month came the news that the building was 25 percent sold. Now, as of July 16, we can report that the first closing has occurred. The apartment in question is a 1,210-square-footer that went for $772,000. Presumably there’s more to come in the near future.

  1. “last month came the news that the building was 25 percent sold. Now, as of July 16, we can report that the first closing has occurred”

Fun with numbers! (we need an SEC for housing)

    ***Bid half off peak comps***

  2. bxgrl – perhaps they wanted to push some sort of modern motif. Whatever it was came out pretty bland.

The interior of the units are pretty modern and the build/design/carpentry work looks to be solid. As I understand, the developer is pretty good with the details.

  3. so how many units are presumed to be in contract already so that a closing can proceed? can’t be the 25% referenced here. if the person is going all-cash, he should hire me to negotiate for him / her.
