Two more entries have been added to the seemingly ever-expanding shopping options on Bergen between 5th Avenue and Flatbush. Already open is a branch of Lululemon, the yoga clothing/accessories store that was profiled for its cult-like following in last week’s New York mag. Then, right next door, fancy hot dog joint Bark is scheduled to open in about a week, according to its owners. Closer to 5th Avenue, meanwhile, the former Unnameable Books storefront is under wraps, and something new is evidently in the works there. There are now almost no empty shop spaces on the Pintchik-controlled block. GMAP

  1. There appears to be a TON of seating in Bark too. Good place to people-watch the evacuees from the 2,3 line station right there.

  2. Oh wow, I wonder if that mean’s they’re serving Zweigle’s!?!?!?!
Seriously the best hot dogs in the state. I know many Rochestarian ex-pats who have them shipped packed in dry ice at great expense simply because they are so good.

If they really are Zweigles, try the white hots. OMG. YUM. I might have to go visit just to see for myself.

  3. There’s something unsettling about referring to it as an ‘upscale’ hot dog joint (bklyn edibles article), and if their stance is on sustainability, perhaps they should source their mutts from Bklyn or nearby, not Rochester.

Nonetheless I’m a sucker for dogs and beer, and will happily visit.

Oh, and women in yoga clothes are hot.

  4. I like me some hot dogs… could do without yoga clothing and accessories… accessories? I thought the point of yoga was that you didn’t really *need* anything? But i guess folks with extra money need to spend it.

I’ll spend mine on hot dogs.
