Powerplant_.jpg
The beautiful old brick power plant building at 153 Second St. in Gowanus, known as the Bat Cave, has a new message for the holiday season. More than a year after its anti-Wall Street graffiti was removed, some athletic and artistic pundits replaced it with a wrap around message that reads, Open your eye girl, stop shopping. Is this advice for the cash strapped, and why is it only for girl(s)? Too bad this Boymelgreen-owned beauty can’t be put to better use. It’s still for sale, at a make me an offer price. Nice building. GMAP

  1. “Open your eye girl, stop shopping.” That’s poetry. Layers of meaning there . . .

My guess? He wants her to see him and stop “shopping.”

Alternately, she’s about to have her car repossessed.

  2. “real men don’t shop”

Thank goodness you have a real woman to do it for you, benson. Your wife has excellent taste in men’s haberdashery! 🙂
