Closing Bell: Ode to the Franklin Trust Building
Karl Junkersfeld, a regular on the Brooklyn Heights Blog, has put together another one of his interesting videos about Brooklyn architectural history. This time, the focus is the Franklin Trust building at 166 Montague Street, a building which is currently being restored and renovated into condos. Enjoy!
That was Frank. The song was from a movie called “It Happened In Brooklyn” (I think). The co star was either Jimmy Durante or William Bendix. Cant remember which. Nice job on the film. The Hights is not the only nabe with “The Goods”. Brooklyn is filled with treasures. Maybe more films like this will help them survive.
Puff piece – not one single historical fact in the whole thing except the name of the architect –
What ever happened to the Franklin Trust Co of Brooklyn – anyone know????

Very cool. You know I like these very much.
very nice.
architecturally speaking, Brooklyn Heights has the goods.
Other than the tiny goof of mispelling “lafever” I thought this was a very nicely done.
