46 Cheever Place has only been on the market for a month, but the Cobble Hill brick has already received a much-needed price cut from $1,975,000 to $1,800,000. The house is on a lovely block and has some nice old bones to recommend it, but it’s been owned by he same family for six decades and is quite a bit worse for the wear; it’s also configured as a duplex plus two floor-throughs, not the ideal scenario for most buyers in this neck of the woods. Still, this asking price has got to be within 10 percent of the mark.

  1. Oooh! Never knew there was a movie of it. I’ll have to check it out. Although I think my imagination with characters is a lot better than what Hollywood comes up with.

  2. “Do we see a lot of Cheever Place because there’s a lot for sale there”

Pigeon, what Boerumresident just said. I believe there are 3 houses on Cheever Place for sale right now. There is also the converted school on Cheever, which has had a couple of COTDs in the past year or so.

  3. I think we see a lot of Cheever because this is maybe the fifth house on this block to be listed in the last year or so. Plus, it feels like a lot because there have been maybe five more houses in all of Cobble Hill during the same time period (Ok, maybe 10 more total).
